Frozen water is falling out of the sky ❄️ and while I’m tempted to complain, I woke up today. I get to go out and feel the wind on my face. So we’re okay. Go out and do the things you planned to do. Or stay in if that’s what you need. I’ll be #onthemove as soon as I get myself out of this bed.

Doing the physical exercises is not the hard part. There is a learning curve to be had, but were the real challenge lies is in the continual execution of changing your daily habits. Day in Day Out you have to change your behavior and that is the hardest part. Especially as adults, number one we have to realize that change needs to be made, and two, a plan has to be put in place and executed on a daily basis. That's where the real pain is. The pain of staying the same has to become greater then the pain of making change.

I have certainly been guilty of blurting out exactly what is wrong with: the sex, the relationship or life immediately after sex. As you can imagine, this has generally been counter productive and demoralising for my partner (imagine)! Recently, I was listening to Jamie Scrimjeour's podcast on sex. Her guest was Kelly McDonnell-Arnold who is a certified sexologist and relationship therapist. She had a brilliant suggestion about how to approach tough conversations with your partner. She suggested saying something like, "I'd really like to have a conversation about our sex life let me know when you're in the right place to have that conversation." Yes, it sounds cringy and I certainly don't recommend saying it while your partner is still inside of you! But using these words (or a similar phrase) is useful for two reasons:
1. You both can come to the conversation when you're calm and looking at the situation from a rational point of view.
2. It means that you're opening up a discussion rather than placing demands on your partner.
Most of us know that open communication is the key to great sex but so many of us are afraid to start the conversation about our needs and desires. Start today! Just like anything else in life, you need to build your best sex life.

Yesterday was my 7 year cancerversary!
Wowza!! 7 years I got the news that changed my life forever.
The call I received threw me straight into the fear pool. Feeling hopeless, confused, mad and scared. My two tumors were cancer and my soon to be “team” of doctors were waiting for my call.
The journey that I have been in makes me full of gratitude and I continue to find the silver linings of my diagnosis.
Here are some of the silver linings : 🌈 Giving people hope during their darkest hours. 🌈 love more deeply 🌈 I truly understand the definition of wellness. It’s not just looking good from the outside or being physically fit. 🌈 having more meaningful relationships 🌈 choosing joy and gratitude 🌈 teaching others about cellular health and what truly is important for their body’s!

Remember my failed attempt at making my own hair serum last week? 🌸WORKING ON MYSELF | the last four weeks I’ve been seeing a Life Coach. We have been focusing on something I struggle with...being kind to myself.
