Israel was an absolute food HEAVEN, with an absurd amount of 100% vegan restaurants and cafés all over the place, and everywhere else offering vegan options too. It's also a dream for an active holiday - it didn't get colder than 17° in the whole week I was there, there are some lovely routes to run along the beach, and they have some epic outdoor gyms! Probably the only thing that saved me from turning all my blood into puréed chickpeas.

#tbt to #chicagomarathon 2016 with coach @fernando.cabada 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏽♂️.... funny how right after running a marathon ( specially one that makes you suffer miserably) you don’t want to know anything about racing... but just a couple of weeks later you are already planning your next big race!! 🤣 #cantstopwontstop 💪🏻
This swim almost didn’t happen. I didn’t set an alarm, didn’t pack my stuff the night before. I figured if my body needed the rest, I’d sleep past five. HA.
So there I was, flipping around in bed, trying to get back to sleep after a measly six hours, arguing with myself that it was cold and it had snowed and I was really tired and I should just get up and caffeinate and get some stuff done at home, but I also knew how crappy I would feel if I didn’t exercise all. day. long. Mental health comes first, y’all.
I had zero expectations for how it would feel and to my delight I swam a little faster today than Tuesday. Go figure.🤷🏼♀️
The struggle is real. And mundane. And ordinary. And this is life, my boring, everyday life, not too unlike other people’s lives, just muddling along trying to be the best versions of ourselves as we can. I’m pretty happy with how I turned the day around, from a negative mindset (too tired, don’t feel like it, can’t do it today) to a positive one (just try it and see how you feel). Not naturally being wired this way, it’s still an effort, but I’ll keep practicing.😊
Simple gazpacho soup. 3 minutes to make if you have a blender:
4-5 middle size tomatoes
2 clove garlic
3-4 dates or less if they big
1 tb spoon any nut - pine, pumpkin seeds, sunflower, walnut.
Blend into smooth soup. Chop some onions, Basil and any veg on top.
Refreshing, filling, delicious. Salt, oil free - so will contribute to your optimum weight.

No Brasil milhares de animais morrem por minuto. Inclusive os que farão parte da ceia de muitos, estão no corredor da morte neste momento! Talvez vendo a luz do sol pela ultima vez!
Além da violência empregada a eles por toda suas curtas vidas eles ficam sem ser alimentados ou recebem agua nos 2 ou 3 dias que antecedem suas mortes!
Os tiros de ar aplicados para desacordar animais de maior porte muitas vezes não funcionam e os animais sentem toda a dor da facada... sentem seus corpos sendo issados por uma corrente e por uma perna só e ele sente seu sangue escorrendo e sua vida sendo tirada!
Por favor parem com o terror! Parem de comer animais!

Starting the day with a green bowl is always a good idea. 1 cup Kale, 1/2 avocado, 1/2 mango, 1 tbs chia seeds and 2 frozen bananas. Topped with hemp seeds, mango and passionfruit. The avocado made this extra creamy and added some healthy fats to kick start our morning...have you put avo in your smoothies before? 🥑

I’ll be honest. I am not sure if this was vegan.
I ate this a few weeks ago in a small town in Nagano.
A lot of the time when I eat out in Japan, I am not sure if what I’m eating has animal products in it. I play the “don’t ask don’t tell” card a lot because if I ask too many questions, I will literally have nothing to eat except a bowl of rice.

Ages ago at plant based live I tried out the @abakusfoods jujube fruit and LOVED them so when they asked to send me some samples to try out (which they sent so many of so thank you!!) I was all up for it! Sharing my journey again with all of you on this #transformationtuesday & answering some questions you asked from last week’s post! 🙌😘
1. There is about a year and a half difference between these two pictures.
2. Yes. Both pictures are of me.
3. Going vegan definitely helped my progress! I pay more attention to what I put in my body and I have way more energy than I did pre-vegan.
4. No, I do not eat strictly raw whole foods. While that is arguably the healthiest eating plan, I tend to be a bit adventurous and love to try pretty much all cuisines- as long as the food is vegan. I like lots of variety!
5. Every.Single. Day. While I don’t recommend starting off this way, I’m now at the point where I don’t skip workouts. At all. Seriously.
6. YES I run every single day! I add strength training 4 times a week as well to maintain a well-rounded workout routine- and to help with whole body strength.
7. YES YOU CAN! You absolutely can make a difference in your own life by committing to YOU! Find what works for you and do something daily to work towards your goals. You may feel like you aren’t seeing results fast enough, but don’t let that stop you. I recommend taking monthly pictures so you can look back and see how far you’ve come.
8. The weight difference between the two pics? About 60 pounds.
9. Yes. I’m in the best shape of my life!
10. Oh wow. Someone asked my age. I will be 38 in a week. ——————————————-
You can do anything you want to do! I know it’s discouraging when you first start out and you aren’t able to accomplish what you want to do right away. Don’t stop! The only way you are going to fail is if you stop moving forward. ANY forward progress is still PROGRESS- and that’s what will guarantee your success! Keep going! You’ve got this! 🙌💚💪🏼🏃🏻♀️✌🏼🤩🏋🏻♀️
