Well Australia after 6 years of having me it’s time to say goodbye!
Thank you to all those who I met in this chapter of my life and I wish you all the best and for your wishes come true 🥰 I look forward to seeing in the future 🗺
Some people will love you no matter what you do.
Others won't love you no matter what you do.
So be yourself! Let things go; if anyone knows your value they will appreciate you and they will allow you to grow, they won't pull you down or make you feel that you are not enough.
You are enough.
You are going to be enough for the right person.
Yesterday I finally met my friend, Bob Nameng.
He is an incredible human and I want to tell you a little about him.
He was born in Soweto and his mum died when he was four, his dad when he was six. He lived on the streets, begging for food. Mama Eva eventually found him and took him in. She was a powerful figure in the community and Bob describes her as the Mother Teresa of Kliptown. He was given a second chance, there in this informal settlement. He founded SKY (Soweto Kliptown Youth) when he was just 16. Three decades on, SKY continues to support kids through their education and offers all sorts of programs to help them develop their talents. So important when there is over 70% unemployment and no local school, so they must walk 1.5 hours each way to school every day.
Bob’s mission is to help them escape from poverty. An incredible man and I am so privileged to be working with him and the SKY team.
