🏃🏼♀️: Day 3 in a row of morning running (dare I call that a streak? 🤔)! It wasn’t easy getting up this morning and I was dragging out the door, on the drive down, & actually getting started on my run. During the first mile I was tired and thought I might just cut it to 3 miles (from my original 5 miles plan). But once I got on the lake trail my pace just kept picking up and I fell into my “groove” and it felt good to just keep going. It’s been awhile since I’ve felt like that. During the 4 months of marathon training and the month after I just felt drained and running was more of an obligation at times than something to enjoy. But today I felt that old fire and motivation to keep pushing and to see where the run would go. I ended up with a good 5 mile run and my best pace in months of 7:50/mile and I even hit 7:30 at mile 4! I was so excited and so grateful for having an unexpectedly positive start to my morning. 🙌🏻 It just proves that sometimes you don’t need to have a plan: just put on your running shoes, hit the trail, and see what happens! Sometimes it’s something great! 😊

I’m so nervous to start training for Boston. I officially start training 16 weeks out, but right now I’m building a foundation and conditioning. Today my legs felt tired and felt the leg work I’ve been doing but after eating cookies all weekend I needed to run! 😂😂🤫🤫
Really really hoping to run Pasadena Half, and I’ll be doing the @newyearsrace challenge! 🙈🙈 5k + Basecamp workout+ 10k sounds like my peak time training in race form! So excited for this!!! Plus, best of all it’s official @sidneyhendricks will be running too!! Will you be there? Say Hi!!!
