Today was one of those "I have GOT to get out of my head" kinda runs. 59 days until my marathon and I'm feeling anything but confident or even remotely ready....😩
A month ago I felt like I was in the perfect place mentally and physically. Then here I am today finding myself feeling the complete opposite. I had a few arguments with myself and may have given myself a few face slaps along this run. I have to keep the traffic entertained! Not giving up. Will never give up... This shit is HARD work! #wednesday#thoughts#hardwork#brooksrunning
I must say that Singapore Marathon has improved a lot with their execution last weekend. Thanks a lot to all the volunteers and supporters who helped us finish the race despite the humidity. This was a special day for me. A day that I no longer wanted to chase any PB or PR. It was just pure joy that I was able to run with Ate @zarahkay05 and cross the finish line together within the COT. We even had to assist a teenager along the course who was really in a bad shape and couldn't breath properly. Thank you to the three guys and two other ladies who called for medics, acted with first aid, and offered a bottle of water. It was for a brief moment that I realise I didn't care anymore about my race timing and just extend a little help to a fellow runner. I do hope that he has recovered well from that incident. I was really glad to spend my time appreciating everything around me. I even had to stop and took picture of the sky at dawn. Sometimes it really isn't how fast we finish but rather how our journey was before we even reach the finish line. It's ok at times to take things slowly and easily. Believe me, it's really alright. Progress even if it's only this much is still a progress. Don't compare yourself with others. Uplift and encourage each and everyone for the good of all. Be inspired and motivated at all times. Learn from all your experiences and grow from them. Don't be afraid to take new challenges as you go thru life. Lastly, be KIND to all. Enjoy the rest of 2018. Recharge and let's get ready for new goals on 2019! 💕🤗

The only running action should be the PULL. Use your hamstrings to PULL your feet off the ground to avoid two major running faults:
🔸RUN FASTER AND LONGER: You'll be using your glutes and hammies, some of the most powerful muscles in your body, instead of relying on your much smaller hip flexors.
🔸AVOID INJURY: You'll be keeping your body in alignment and NOT landing out in front, which causes most run-related injuries.

I won’t lie- getting up in the dark to go workout in the dark is hard. But these people and this view make Wednesday mornings worth it. Thankful for the @novemberprojectseattle community for always being present and encouraging, no matter how dark or cold it may be. #novemberproject

What cooler than being cool? Ice cold!! That’s how cold I felt on this run. I drag my feet out the door in these cold mornings but once I’m out the door I’m fine. I’ve been relying on the treadmill too much these days, but I’m definitely going to force myself to run outside more the rest of the year.
After another unplanned running break I'm official back (my colleague was sick, I had a day off, then I was sick...ect) were finally could plan it again for today, a cozy relaxed run but hey it was so cold (thank God I had my old color run socks on 😊) and then it started snowing....what a day 🤔😃😃

In other random news - My boys and I have discussed at length the sad plight of Tuesday. Tuesday is kind of a nothing day. It’s not the first day of the week. It’s not the hump that says we’ve made it half way. It’s not Friday-eve, and it’s definitely not the weekend. So what is poor Tuesday?🤔 .
Anyhoo... 4 miles today, 4 weeks & 4 days til #charlestonmarathon 💃🎉🤸♂️ Also, 4 is my sister’s lucky number 🤷♀️ and look at all the 4’s in my run stats today! I think that’s a very good sign!!!🤪 Come on Chicago!!!🤞🤞🤞

Nach der Arbeit Stallklamotten angezogen,bereit für nen Ausritt,um dann kurz vor Autoeinstieg mich doch fürs Laufen zu entscheiden.
So nen paar akzeptable Eigenschaften hab ich,glaube ich zumindest,aber dazu gehört definitiv nicht die Fähigkeit Entscheidungen zu treffen.
Nun denn...Erster Lauf nach Erkältung.
War super gut,paar Gehpausen inklusive.Flocke natürlich im Schlepptau.
TRX Bänder umgeschnallt,um mal wieder ein bisschen was gegen die schlaffen Muckis zu tun.
Dann aber in Grönemeyers Texten versunken und kein Bock mehr auf TRX gehabt.Wollen wir mal nicht alles so ernst nehmen.
Naja..Für ein paar wenige Sätze hat’s dann doch noch gereicht.
Was ich eigentlich sagen will...Ich bin wieder zurück 😃🤩
