One theory of why the eyes sparkle is that when a person feels strong emotions then the tear ducts release extra fluid which reflects light. It often happens when a person is joyful or excited :) “I’m so grateful for who I’ve become and I'm ready for my next challenges." 🦄

Not everything you do in life has to have a purpose... sometimes we do things for no reason at all, sometimes just because we want to try something new and sometimes because we want to have some fun. And that is all perfectly fine!
When it comes to the bigger things in life (like your job) I believe we should not make rushed decisions and have a reason for our actions.
Weirdly enough at the age of 8 I decided to study law. I didn’t even think about my subject when I finished school. It has always been the one. Why? No idea but it worked out fine.
Competing is another part of my life that takes a lot of effort and commitment. I decided to compete in 2014 for two reasons:
1️⃣ I had been lifting weights almost every day for 4.5 years and I was running out of goals that kept me going on with what I was doing.
2️⃣ This might sound completely weird to most people but prep is something that requires me to give 100%. This has never happened in my life. It has always worked out fine with “just doing enough”. Competition prep - not so much!
I enjoy this structure of a prep, I like to being able to say that I haven’t cheated on my diet once (unless it’s a planned cheat meal) and have not missed a session. That is my reason.
Yours doesn’t have to be the same but I think it’s important that, when looking back to things in life that require a lot of commitment and sacrifice, we are able to say why we’ve done it.
Happy Wednesday and that picture was taken on show day 5.5 weeks ago when I still had abs 😜! ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ #fitness#healthy#gym#motivation#workout#fit#fitfam#health#eatclean#fitspo#cardio#wbff#wbffpro#johannahess#bodybuilding#health#sixpack#diet#weightloss#strong#fitnessmodel#fit#getfit#london#active#instahealth#lifestyle#photooftheday#selfie#life

Top Shot: Highway to Hail | Photograph by Ryan Wunsch (@ryanwunsch77)
“This photo was taken during a storm chase in the corner of Saskatchewan where I have spent my whole life,” writes #YourShotPhotographer Ryan Wunsch. “The storm was moving very quickly and had just dropped a tornado that hit a farmyard minutes earlier (no one was home, no injuries occurred). Each year I travel 10,000 miles in search of photographic storms but this year my favorite photos came from close to home. My mother joined me on this ‘backyard chase’ and she saw her first tornado ever.” This image was selected for the Daily Dozen on December 11, 2018.
Top Shot features the photo with the most votes from the previous day’s Daily Dozen, 12 photos chosen by the Your Shot editors from thousands of recent uploads. Our community votes for their favorite photo from the selection, and the Top Shot is showcased on the @natgeoyourshot Instagram account.
