The holiday season, more like the “holiday storm”🌪🌩, can be overwhelming 🤯. 2️⃣ simple and effective ways to find peace✌️, happiness😃 and a boost of good health💪 amidst the storm:
1️⃣ Over Indulge in Nature🌲! Hike, jog, walk, run 🏃. Find the closest beautiful environment with trees and lush foliage. Find a stream, river, creek, lake or 🌊. Rejuvenate your body and soothe your mind. Nature releases an abundance of oxygen. Water bodies invoke negative ions in the air that improve your breathing, increase serotonin production (better your mood), enhance clarity, and stimulate alpha brain waves (more calm, more focused, and higher levels of awareness.) 2️⃣ Play in the Snow ❄️! If you are like me - fortunate to live within driving distance of snow - take a road trip! This wintry time of the year is perfect for giving yourself a mental and physical break in the powder. Go 🛷, build a ☃️, go ⛷, go🏂, throw ❄️, or just make it a winter ritual to kickback like I do to watch 👀 the kids play in the ❄️ or fight snowballs. There is something magical about the snow that takes you away from the normal grind!

#medalmonday 🎄Yesterday I ran the @holiday_half. My 32nd Half Marathon but my only half this year. 🎄After the Disneyland races were canceled I kinda took a break from running but I had a lot of fun yesterday. I got to see friends I only see at races and I realized how much I miss the whole race atmosphere.🎄Next year I want to try some new races and run some local favorites.
