Ma motivation? Le froid, le besoin d'évacuer la pression de la surcharge de travail avant les fêtes, mais aussi l'urgence d'éliminer (un peu 🙄) le tajine poulet citron olives de la veille et le fondant au chocolat coco avec son coulis de framboise 🤤 (le🍷ne compte pas)... Bon ok, j'ai juste voulu me donner bonne conscience! 😇🙊

Due to a busy schedule it’s been a few days since I have been able to run. So when I set out on my run today I didn’t have any specific expectations; I just wanted to get out and run. I planned on just going for about 3 miles; but then when I got to mile 3 I felt so good that I just made it into 4!
Are you an athlete, a weekend warrior or someone that simply wants to be fit? Core stability, and stability against rotation, in specific, should be part of your programming. This is especially true for athletes that need to limit energy expenditure on not essential movement (think of a cyclist navigate a long,steep climb - too much back and forth and you're screwed). The Pallof press,. and its variations, is a go to for me. This is a half kneeling isometric version. Add it and fight the rotation ... Today I did 4 sets, of 12 second holds, per side. Guess what?!? I shaved 1:30 off of my Zone 2, 30 min run!!! I felt so A M A Z I N G 🥳 with today’s run and couldn’t believe my pace when I was done! Starting week 8 of heart rate training and this just makes me so happy and def makes up for those times when Zone 2 felt boring, those times when I had to walk more than run, and those times when my watch just kept beeping to slow my pace down just so my HR would stay zone 2. And guess what else?! While I didn’t make it into Chi Marathon next year, I was sad when I got the email, but I take rejections as opportunities and a sign... Yes, I’ll most likely have major FOMO come next October 2019, but will be there to support family and friends. Congrats to all who got picked for Chi Mary! And hoping I figure out my 2019 sooooooonnnnn... #justkeeprunning
